Google OS - A google storm is brewing

The 7th of July google might have taken the biggest step towards conquering a giant share in the software market. To understand how big this is we have to look what happened.

First Google announces on its blog that google apps moves out of Beta. This means that for the first time since its start Gmail, Google calendar, Google docs, Google talk and all the most used gmail applications, who also directly replace a lot of conventional desktop products, are stabilized and move out of Beta.

Then, a real shock for all those who have been following the tons of rumours about the Google OS, but a natural follow-up to taking Apps out of Beta, the Google OS has been officially announced. It is even set to come during 2009, and it could precede Windows 7.

The Google OS is made specially for netbooks, the hit-machine "everybody" buys  today, and they are allready preparing it to be shipped with on new netbooks. It will be very interesting to see how it competes with window 7 for netbooks when this arrives.

Google Chrome didn't take away the internet explorer hegemony, but then its only available for windows and it fooesn't ship with any computers... Will the Chrome OS make a the crack that shatters the Windows?
