Welcome to my first post on my new website. Though I will be living in Norway in 2008, currently living i Brussels, I'll write parts of this blog in English. This is only because of two reasons: First not my whole (extended) family and network speaks Norwegian and I would like them to be able to read relevant posts. Secondly I intend to write about International affairs and politics, IT as well as Norwegian internal affairs. Several of these issues may interest people from non-Norwegian speaking countries as well, and I wish my site to be a contribution to a global internet community.
Having stated this I hereby open my blog with a wow that this time (won't even try to remember how many times I have tried to keep a website working...) I will honestly try to keep my blog frequently updated with breaking news, biting political criticism and astonishing reviews from the Open Source and Linux world.
And to ripoff one of my heroes, John Stewart, here is your moment of zen:
Isn't that last speaker the most popular republican US presidential candidate... reducing abortion to a question of wanting to have it in the country or not... "We don't want to have abortion in this country" It will mean back to the medieval methods of poking ugly things up... Well I guess you know where I'm going.
Under this post you will find posts from my fieldwork blog when I, Bendik Stubstad Henriksen, Lars Gausdal and Christian Bjølseth were in India together. It contains lots of nice pictures, stories and memories. Some of the entries are written by me, some by the others. Enjoy.

Hey Simon!
Awsome blog. Looking forward to read more - I know you've got some incredible interesting views.
There's also another statement in his response, and that is that he would love to sign - but democracy is in his way. He uses the noun "consence", which means:
# noun: permission to do something
Kinda frightening when you think of the Bush-administration's revealed plan, they were caught when they tried to go around the congress, to pass on a resolution they called "fast track".
The plan was that the president by himself would be able to do trade and economy-decisions.
